This artisanal chocolate bar by Ludwig is made with Maracaibo Clasificado 65% Grand Cru cacao from Venezuela flavoured with mint oil.
The harmonious combination of coffee and plum aromas enhances the distinct cacao flavour. The traditional, gentle processing method unfolds the aromas of orange blossom and cinnamon. These lend a festive character to Maracaibo Clasicado 65 %, which is further enhanced by the final sensation of a light, sweet raisin bouquet.
The addition of selected mint oil gives this chocolate a refreshing lingering ending.
About the maker:
Ludwig Ratzinger was born in Bavaria, Germany, where he grew up in a family owned bakery business. After
apprenticing in pastry in Garmisch-Partenkirchen Business School, then a bakery in Landsberg, he came
to Canada in 1990. He worked at the Chateau Laurier from 1991-1999, the Governor General’s residence
in 2000, and ran a catering business and taught cooking and baking throughout the region, before
launching Fine Chocolate by Ludwig handmade artisanal chocolate.
