Mrs. McGarrigle's Philanthrophy
Janet and her staff feel strongly about their corporate social responsability and are committed to making this world a better place. Not only do they believe in contributing locally to various causes such as the Lion's Club, the Chamber of Commerce, the Merrickville Library, food drives and more but also to more global ones such as the Stephen Lewis Foundation , Ryan's Well Foundation and the Cancer Society's Relay for Life. In the last five years, Mrs. McGarrigle's has raised over $30,000 for selected charities.
As Janet says: "We've been very fortunate and I am grateful for our success. Much of that success is due to putting all of our positive energy and enthusiasm to work - not only in running the retail store and manufacturing part of our business - but also by giving back to our community, both locally and globally. Fundraising, product donations and staff volunteerism are all key components. I truly believe that we have a social responsibility and an opportunity to make a positive difference in our community and in our world."
Cancer Society's Relay for Life
In the last two years, the McGarrigle's team, Mrs. McGarrigle's Moonlight Marchers, has raised over $8700.00 for the Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Roman goddesses, aka McGarrigle’s staff and friends, hosted a toga party at the event. Diana, Catherine, Janet S. & Heather were great sports & very enthusiastic
